This post just found me. I never watch news on tv either, but was a news junkie reading various newspapers and listening to a few regular podcasts every day. My anxiety unfortunately was out of control this last year, and I am 2 weeks 100% news free. Cancelled all of my subscriptions, unfollowed all my political sources, and have spent more time reading books, listening to a lot of new music and exploring creativity. I can’t control a lot in this world, but I can make a difference through art. I am channeling that and tuning out all of the noise. I don’t want to be uninformed, but I feel much more at peace actually making a difference in something else I fell passionate about.
Right on! We're remembering to stay in our "preferred state" or what I've called your "home frequency." All those things you suggested are doorways into that state. In there, there is no fear or paranoia, no ego, no retribution. Just kindness, self-entertainment, generosity, gratitude, cocreation, communion with nature and life. Thanks for the great little video!!
Thanks Jill, for all that you do! Me, I'm focusing on what is in my control (not much, tbh) and just trying to take care of myself and those dear to me. Next steps as far as activist work are a little murky right now..... I never watch the news on tv, but I do read a few newspapers each day.
