I have always loved the work of Marc Chagall, especially "I and my village" I think it is called, full of whimsy and loveliness and innocence...and thanks once again for reminding me out of a very painful slump of loneliness and fatigue due to too much left brain dominance in "getting things done" not balanced with allowing my right brain some space and kindness and fun! ...even with an important HUD apt inspection coming up soon, by a property manager who has no appreciation of the "mess" and "clutter" that is part of being creative! And so it goes :-)
One of my favorite "coffee-table books" is "may i feel said he" the poem by e.e. cummings illustrated with painting by Marc Chagall. It is magical. So are you. Thank your reminding us. Joy all around, everyone, lift your joy and toast making art.
Thanks for this celebration of Chagall. He’s been a fave for decades. Your artwork and online wonderings remind me of his sense of joyful expression! And now that you described him and the sense of wonder as key, I see more of why I’ve always called him my favorite master artist. About 20 years into my teaching career, I told people my real title should be “ professional wonderer” with others:) Thanks for that! I so appreciate your posts/writings/artwork. It makes a difference. Feels like a creative lifeline in crazy times. Thank you, Jill. 💝💝

Clutter is an art installation of where a creative person lives. ❤️
I'd love to come to the potluck - I'll bring my carrot salad with golden raisins and thin slivers of fresh ginger . . . it has honey-yogurt dressing.
That sounds lovely! Yum. See you there.

Thank for the joyful expression comment, Laurie. Us wonderers must stick together through this tumult.
Exactly, Linda. Thank you for sharing this.
